What are the details surrounding the Nuclear Policy Conference? 

What: The conference will bring together over 800 experts and officials from more than 45 countries and international organizations. As the Treaty on the Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons celebrates its fiftieth anniversary in 2018, the conference will explore the future of the treaty and the global nuclear order, as well as emerging trends in deterrence, disarmament, nonproliferation, nuclear security, and nuclear energy.
When: Monday, March 20 through Tuesday, March 21, 2017
Where: The Nuclear Policy Conference is being held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center located at 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington, DC.

Registration deadlines to consider:

  1. Early Bird Registration: October 5, 2016 – January 17, 2017  

  2. Online Registration: January 18, 2017- March 6, 2017

  3. On-Site Registration: March 20, 2017 & March 21, 2017

  4. Online registration will close on Monday, March 6, 2017, after which point, those interested in attending will have the option to register on-site at an additional cost.

  5. Any organization sending ten (10) or more participants to the conference qualifies for a 20 percent discount on the entire cost of registration. Please email to receive a group registration discount code.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:

All cancellation requests must be received by email no later than Monday, March 6, 2017 to receive a refund. An administrative fee of $25 will be subtracted from the refund.

How do I travel to the Nuclear Policy Conference?


The Ronald Reagan Building can be accessed by car, bus, or metro. More information on parking and public transportation options can be found on the Ronald Reagan Building website.


Conference attendees should enter through the 14th Street entrance closest to the Atrium, as registration will be located in the Atrium on the Concourse level.

By Car:


Access to the garage is available via 14th Street (north and south) and 13½ Street (off Pennsylvania Ave).  The garage is open 24 hours. More details here.


By Metro:


The Federal Triangle Metro Station (orange/silver/blue lines) is located on-site, and is connected to the building by covered passageway. The Metro Center Metro Station (red/orange/silver/blue lines) is located just two blocks away.
