美台关系与民间交流

因为长期的历史联系和相似的文化价值观，美国与台湾结下了深厚的友谊。民间交往为美国和台湾普通民众之间的相互了解提供了最直接有效的方法。商业关系、经济价值链、语言交流项目、留学机会、文化活动以及旅游，这些都是培养和深化美国与台湾密切联系的重要途径，也会极大地丰富美台关系。

卜睿哲、迟耀宗以及雷明就美国与台湾之间活跃的民间交往的持续战略意义及长期价值进行了探讨。会上李沃奇致简短欢迎词，梅致远致开幕词，包道格主持了本次讨论。
