Rebhy El Sheikh is an engineer who served from 2005 to 2018 as the Gaza-based deputy head of the Palestinian Water Authority (PWA). Between 2016 and 2018, he was an advisor to the Prime Minister of the State of Palestine on water, energy and development of crossing borders and he managed Gaza Reconstruction. He holds an MSc. in Engineering from the University of Liverpool and has worked as a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering-Birzeit University between 1983-1994. He has published a number of articles and papers related to the water sector management, including desalination works.
