Speaking to the Open Society Foundation, Carnegie's Moisés Naím discusses how the shifting nature of power has led to people in leadership positions to have less power than their counterparts ten or twenty years ago. This is evidenced in the declining role of political leaders such as Vladimir Putin, religious leaders such as the Pope, as well as corporate leaders including CEOS, he explained. Naím argued that this transformation is a function of three revolutions: the more, mobility, and mentality revolutions. There is more of everything; there is a greater movement of things, ideas, and people; and there is a subsequent change in mentalities, including aspirations, motivations, ambitions, and behaviors.
