Speaking on NDTV, Carnegie India’s Constantino Xavier discussed the recent snap election in the United Kingdom that ended in a hung parliament. He argued that the Conservative Party lost due to a lack of clarity in their messaging.  Ultimately, he said, the division among voters was less about an affiliation with the Left or Right and more about populism. The Labour movement focused on the right agenda for the key demographic, he concluded.
