《巴黎协定》之后，欣然接受向低碳经济转型这一提议的国家激增，次国家团体也数以千计。尽管美国明确表示退出《巴黎协定》，但国际社会一致认为《巴黎协定》是发展经济和减缓全球变暖的重要工具。而且，欧盟在全面执行《巴黎协定》方面一直保持了坚定不变的决心。

在年度“欧盟气候外交日”（EU Climate Diplomacy Day）之际，欧盟驻美国代表团和卡内基国际和平研究院有幸举办了此次会议，围绕当前的创新趋势和重要领域内无损经济发展的减碳尝试展开了讨论。世界银行集团首席执行官克里斯塔利娜·格奥尔基耶娃作了主旨发言。

Former Associate Fellow, Energy and Climate Program

Livingston was an associate fellow in Carnegie’s Energy and Climate Program, where his research focuses on emerging markets, technologies, and risks.

David O’Sullivan

David O’Sullivan became EU ambassador to the United States in November 2014. He was previously chief operating officer of the European External Action Service and has served in a range of senior EU positions, including as director general for Trade and secretary general of the European Commission.

Kristalina Georgieva

Kristalina Georgieva currently serves as Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, a position she was selected for on September 25, 2019 and has served as since October 1, 2019.
