The foreign policy churn under Trump 2.0 has generated fresh uncertainty for America's allies and partners in Asia. Amid growing regional conflicts, weakening trust, and an unpredictable geopolitical environment, Asian countries are seeking to strike a balance with Washington and Beijing while strengthening their strategic autonomy and national resilience. Are we witnessing a paradigm shift in America's engagement and strategy in Asia?

This discussion explored the future trajectory of U.S.-China relations following their proposed framework of “constructive strategic stability” and what it reveals about their competing visions for Asia. It assessed how middle and smaller Asian powers are responding politically, militarily, and economically to safeguard their national and regional security interests amid shifting alignments and abrupt changes. The discussion also examined India’s approach to managing the U.S.-China dynamics and its evolving bilateral relations with both countries.
