The Moscow International Non-Proliferation Conference

Organized by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the
PIR - Center for Policy Studies in Russia

October 6-7, 2000

Purpose: The aim of the conference is to create a Moscow forum for the exchange of ideas on non-proliferation and arms control with the participation of more than one hundred government officials, members of parliaments, representatives of academic and NGO communities, and the media. Attendance will be primarily from the Russian Federation and the Newly Independent States, although experts and officials will attend from Western and Central Europe, the Asia Pacific, South Asia, and the Middle East.
