Asia

The Asia Program in Washington studies disruptive security, governance, and technological risks that threaten peace, growth, and opportunity in the Asia-Pacific region, including a focus on China, Japan, and the Korean peninsula.

长期以来，美国和日本都为各自科研机构在经济增长和人民福祉方面作出的卓越贡献感到骄傲。但是，国家资助的研究项目进展缓慢且成本高昂，加之与中国和印度间的激烈竞争，两国政府也面临挑战，需重新思考制定科技政策的方法并制定议程，鼓励为解决重大社会问题而进行创新。

结合有利于和不利于创新的制度因素，小组成员将针对美国和日本如何应对这些挑战展开讨论。

本活动由社会科学研究委员会(Social Science Research Council)和日本全球合作基金中心(Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership)共同主办，是安倍研究员全球论坛(Abe Fellows Global Forum)的一部分。
