Post-Conflict Economic Reconstruction in Syria

Mon, October 28th, 2013

Beirut

Link Copied

The Carnegie Middle East Center, along with senior scholars from its Syrian think tank partner, convened a select group of Syrian economists from around the world to discuss the economic impact of the Syrian uprisings. The meeting researched the economic background to the uprising and evaluated existing reconstruction projects in Syria and abroad in order to see what was missing. The aim of the workshop was to identify areas where Carnegie’s scholarship can make a meaningful contribution and how proposed economic policies will impact Syria’s future political system.
