Carnegie Europe was pleased to host a special event featuring Volkan Bozkır, the new Turkish minister of European affairs and chief EU accession negotiator.

Minister Bozkır shared his perspectives on the future of EU-Turkey relations and gave insights into the status of Turkey’s EU accession negotiations. Topics ranged from the customs union and the impact of TTIP negotiations on Turkey to the road map for visa liberalization and the readmission agreement, as well as opportunities for EU-Turkey counterterrorism coordination. David Gardner, international affairs editor for the Financial Times, moderated.
