In his address, Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri discussed the war on terror, the Indian nuclear deal, and U.S.-Pakistani relations. Immediately following the discussion, Carnegie President Jessica T. Mathews facilitated the conversation between audience members and the Foreign Minister.

Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri has served as Foreign Minister of Pakistan since 2002. He was elected in 1990 as the Secretary General of the People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) and was later elected as Member of the National Assembly. He previously served as a Special Envoy of the Government of Pakistan to the UK and U.S. and on several government committees, including the Member National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Foreign Relations

Jessica T. Mathews, president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, introduced the Foreign Minister and moderated the Q&A session.
