William J. Burns, president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and Chandrajit Banerjee, director general of the Confederation of Indian Industry, hosted a private dinner to celebrate U.S.-India relations on the tenth anniversary of the civil nuclear agreement. Remarks were given by the Vice President of the United States, the Honorable Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr.

A former career diplomat, William J. Burns served as director of the CIA, deputy secretary of State, and ambassador to Russia and Jordan. Burns was also president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace from 2015 to 2021.
