Elbridge A. A. Colby
Elbridge A. Colby is co-founder and principal of The Marathon Initiative, a policy initiative focused on developing strategies to prepare the United States for an era of sustained great power competition. Colby served as the deputy assistant secretary of defense for strategy and force development from 2017-2018. In that role, he served as the lead official in the development and rollout of the Department’s preeminent strategic planning guidance, the 2018 National Defense Strategy (NDS).
Christian Brose
Former Senior Fellow
Christian Brose was a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and head of strategy at Anduril Industries.
Jennifer Lind
Jennifer Lind is an associate professor in the government department at Dartmouth College, a research associate at Chatham House, London, and a faculty associate at the Reischauer Institute for Japanese Studies at Harvard University. Professor Lind has previously worked as a consultant for RAND and for the Office of the Secretary, U.S. Department of Defense. Her research focuses on the security relations of East Asia and U.S. foreign policy toward the region. She is the author of Sorry States: Apologies in International Politics (Cornell, 2008).
