Rajan Katoch is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. In the course of a distinguished career, he served in several ministries in the Government of India, including as Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry, responsible for implementing government policies and programs in the heavy engineering industry and automobile sectors. He has also worked with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce, and the Planning Commission, and has been with the World Bank in Washington, DC. Dr. Katoch has extensive field experience in regulatory and development administration in the Government of Madhya Pradesh. A student of economics, Dr. Katoch has published articles in professional publications and continues to write on subjects of contemporary economic interest.
