Martin Chulov of the Guardian discusses the broader impact of Jamal Khashoggi’s murder.

Martin Chulov is the Middle East correspondent of the Guardian newspaper in London. He began covering the region in 2005, and in 2015 he won the Orwell prize for journalism. In early November, Diwan sat down with Chulov, who is based in Beirut, to discuss the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Chulov discussed the regional rivalries at play, what the crime has meant for the region’s media, as well as, possibly, the changes it may bring with regard to future decisionmaking in the kingdom.
