On April 22, 2004, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace sponsored a major conference in Moscow to celebrate 10 years of work and to address key challenges facing Russia. Speakers included Yegor Gaidar, former Prime Minister of Russia; Grigory Yavlinsky, Yabloko leader; State Duma Deputies Sergei Glaziev and Vladimir Ryzhkov; Deputy Economy Minister Mikhail Dmitriev; Igor Yurgens, VP of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Enterpreneurs; Strobe Talbott, President, Brookings Institution; Carl Bildt, former Prime Minister of Sweden; and Ambassador Alexander Vershbow.
