Press Release: Carnegie Moscow Center Launches New Website

Published on Dec 11, 2003

The Carnegie Moscow Center web site—which the National Journal this week named as a top resource on Russia—has been redesigned with new features and easier navigation. One of the premier web resources for commentary and analysis on Russia and the former Soviet states, the Carnegie Moscow Center site also offers the most current and comprehensive information on this week’s Duma election. The special election coverage includes analysis, profiles of the key political parties, and news updates.

The site is an ideal resource for media, policy makers, and experts who need background and updates on news relating to Russia and the former Soviet states. Its extensive library of more than 200 full-text publications on a wide range of subjects also make it an excellent source for professors and students. Subjects range from economic data on the Russian middle class to NATO expansion to research on Islamic movements in Central Asia.

Visit the English-language site at www.carnegie.ru/en/.  Also visit the recently updated Carnegie Endowment web site for other resources relating to Russia:

The Carnegie Endowment founded the Carnegie Moscow Center in 1993. The Center grew rapidly and now boasts a staff of thirty-five, all but two of whom are Russian. The Center conducts independent policy research in the areas of domestic politics, security and proliferation, economics, energy, and ethnicity and nation building. The Center publishes Pro et Contra, a leading journal devoted to post-Soviet domestic and foreign policy.
