Haleh Esfandiari, an Iranian-American scholar and director of the Middle East program at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, who had been jailed for months in Iran, has been freed on bail.

Carnegie's Iran expert, Karim Sadjadpour, a friend of Esfandiari, talks about the case with NPR's Melissa Block.
