Europe’s Uncertain Foreign Policy Legacy

To mark the launch of Carnegie Europe’s new book The Uncertain Legacy of Crisis: European Foreign Policy Faces the Future, author Richard Youngs discussed what challenges EU foreign policy now faces.

This book is the first systematic evaluation of the profound effects of the economic crisis on the EU’s foreign and security policies. Youngs was joined by Peter Spiegel of the Financial Times for a debate moderated by Jan Techau.

Youngs is a senior fellow in the Democracy, Conflict, and Governance Program, based at Carnegie Europe. He works on EU foreign policy and on issues of international democracy.
