Film Screening: He Named Me Malala

Mon. August 31st, 2015
Washington, DC

The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace co-hosted a private, advance screening of He Named Me Malala. This extraordinary film gives an inside glimpse into the life of Malala Yousafzai, the young girl from Pakistan’s Swat Valley who was targeted by the Taliban and severely wounded by a gunshot while returning home from school. This screening, which was co-sponsored by Foreign Policy, Vital Voices Global Partnerships, and the Malala Fund, was followed by a panel discussion featuring a special appearance by Malala Yousafzai.
