Q&A on Nuclear Policy

James Acton participated in a Reddit ‘Ask Me Anything’ to discuss nuclear issues at large, including subjects like deterrence and disarmament. Acton also discussed more in-depth issues such as hypersonic weapons and Japan’s nuclear program following the Fukushima disaster. This AMA was done with the assistance of the r/geopolitics subreddit moderators.

James Acton is co-director of the Nuclear Policy Program at the Carnegie Endowment. A physicist by training, Acton specializes in nonproliferation, deterrence, and disarmament.
