Research plays an important role in influencing policy debates. It takes stock of problems, evaluates needs, and identifies solutions.
However, research inputs rarely reflect our diverse communities and often disregard the structural barriers that limit women’s participation. While more inclusive practices are a first step toward ensuring greater gender balance in research teams, additional individual and institutional advancements are required to pave the way for long-term impact.
Carnegie Europe and the Brussels Binder are delighted to invite you to a public discussion on the findings of Brussels Binder Beyond, an EU-funded project that explores how equality and diversity in the research sector can improve the quality of the political decisionmaking process.
Toby Dalton, Susana Elisa Pavlou, Lidwien Poorthuis, and Federica Rosetta will offer insights on how to build more inclusive and diverse research teams and programs. Corinna Hörst will moderate.
To submit a question for the event, please use the YouTube chat, email brussels@ceip.org, or tweet at us @Carnegie_Europe.
This event is hosted in partnership with the Brussels Binder.
