Wed. February 22nd, 2023
The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and Live Online

Carnegie’s Middle East Program invites you to a hybrid discussion marking the launch of Sada’s upcoming mini-documentary series, “Confronting Climate Change in the MENA Region,” which offers a look at the economic and social implications of climate change in Morocco, Yemen, Jordan, and Syria.

Join us for an early screening of the first documentary that looks at how climate change has affected the beekeeping and honey industry in Yemen. Senior fellow Frederic Wehrey will sit down with Abdulrahman Fadhel Al-Eryani, the former Yemeni minister of water and environment, and Hussen Al-Yabari, the producer of the film and a journalist in Yemen, for a conversation on the film and insight from the region.

A light reception will follow the event.
