Benjamin Norwood Harris

About

Benjamin Norwood Harris is a Stanton Fellow at the Carnegie Nuclear Policy Program, where he is conducting a series of experimental wargames testing nuclear decisionmaking. Ben completed his PhD in Security Studies and International Relations at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where his dissertation explored how military doctrine influences overconfidence before war.

In the past, Ben held positions or fellowships at Johns Hopkins SAIS, the Naval War College, the Special Competitive Studies Project, GovAI, and the RAND Corporation. His work has appeared in International Studies Quarterly, Simulation & Gaming, PS: Political Science & Politics, and The Journal of Experimental Political Science.
