Northcourt Ltd., an emerging global nuclear underwriter, strongly endorsed the Nuclear Power Plant Exporters' Principles of Conduct, an industry-led initiative by the world's major suppliers of civilian nuclear power plants to apply a common set of best practices.
The companies participating in the Principles of Conduct welcomed Northcourt's statement as part of their ongoing efforts to solicit the support and cooperation of other key stakeholders across the nuclear industry to promote and maintain high standards of responsible conduct.
"Northcourt shares the Principles of Conduct's objective to promote the safe and secure development of nuclear energy in both emerging and developed markets," says Alan Rickett, Northcourt's CEO. "Northcourt finds the Principles of Conduct to be comprehensive and exemplary and hopes to see this process grow and thrive."
Northcourt joins other prominent nuclear stakeholders, including the World Association of Nuclear Operators, leading nuclear regulators, nuclear insurers, and banks with nuclear portfolios, in supporting the Principles.
