Speaking on Radio New Zealand, Carnegie’s David Rothkopf discussed his predictions for the big issues in international relations for 2014. He commented that the situation in Iraq could have a destabilizing effect on the already unstable region, including Syria and U.S. ally Jordan. He warned that what it going on in Syria and Iraq could foreshadow serious shifts in the region.
