The World in 2020—Can NATO Protect Us? The Challenges to Critical Infrastructure

Mon. December 10th, 2012
Hotel Sofitel Brussels Europe, Place Jourdan, 1 Brussels

IMGXYZ4107IMGZYXFor the second year, NATO in partnership with Carnegie Europe brought together a transatlantic community of experts for a one day conference to tackle the emerging security challenges to critical infrastructure protection facing both the Alliance and its partners. Adjacent sessions focused on defining the biggest threats and vulnerabilities to cyber networks, transit routes, and energy supplies; identifying the private and public sector actors who are essential for coordinated risk protection and response; and outlining what specific role NATO can—and cannot—play in meeting these diffuse but real security challenges.
