Shane Mason is a Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellow in Carnegie’s Nuclear Policy Program. His research focuses on nonproliferation issues in South Asia and the Middle East.

Mason was a graduate research assistant at the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies from May 2012 to December 2013 and interned with the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization in Vienna, Austria, from August to December 2012. He received a State Department Critical Language Scholarship to study Urdu in Lucknow, India.

Mason has authored and co-authored a number of articles including for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Policy.
